“The rules for the Headquarters Selection are fixed. We have to get hold of the entry token by force. Thus, before the Selection, they will try to form an alliance.”
On the way, Lin Ya explained to Su Mo and Ling Chang about the Headquarters Selection.
“Senior Sister, Leng Canfeng has invited us over as he must be thinking of collaborating with us,” Ling Chang commented softly.
“That’s right. Many people will be participating in the Selection. As it is difficult for one person to get hold of the token, many of them will be collaborating with one another,” Lin Ya said as she nodded.
“It is so difficult to get into the Headquarters,” Su Mo said with a sigh. Although he had great combat strength, he was no longer as confident.
Even though Su Mo currently possessed the strength of an Advanced Supreme Being, he did not have absolute confidence.
There were no strict rules for the Supreme Beings from all the branches to vie over the 30 entry tokens. They merely had to use force and that made it difficult.
‘There were tens of thousands of Supreme Beings in every branch and if there were 10,000 Supreme Beings from each branch, there would be one hundred million Supreme Beings.
‘With so many people vying over 30 entry tokens, one had to have good luck in order to emerge as one of the winners.
“That said, there are some rules that will help the more powerful ones to stand out.” Lin Ya said.
As the three of them chatted, they arrived at Red Summer Star and headed toward the mountain range.
A manor was situated on a majestic mountain peak in front of them.
The manor was as a small city with clouds looming above the mountain peak and it looked beautiful.
Various types of rare flowers and fruits grew on the mountain, providing the area with a beautiful panoramic view.
“Leng Canfeng is sociable. He often throws banquets at Deicide Manor to bring the geniuses from the various branches together.” Lin Ya said.
While the three of them were still conversing, they reached the mountain peak and landed in front of the gate of a manor.
The manor was not Red Summer Branch but Leng Canfeng’s manor, and thus there was no mountain gate around.
“Lin Ya from Palmy Branch!” Lin Ya said as she cupped her fist at the few guards who were standing in front of the manor.
After the guards had sized the three of them up, one of them said, “This way, please!”
Having said that, the guard took them inside the manor.
There were several small courtyards in the manor and soon, Su Mo and the two ladies were led to a courtyard that was in a remote area.
“Young Master Leng’s banquet will be held tomorrow. Please stay here for the night.” The guard said.
“Thank you!” Lin Ya said with a smile.
After the guard had left, the three of them sat around the stone table in the courtyard.
“Leng Canfeng has invited many people over. I believe the place will be crowded tomorrow,” Lin Ya said.
“Which are the branches that he has invited?” Su Mo asked casually. The purpose of his visit was merely to find out the agenda.
“They are mainly the Red Summer Branch, Palmy Branch, Qinghua Branch, Spiritual-Leaf Branch, and more than 10 other neighboring branches,” Lin Ya replied.
After the three of them had chatted in the courtyard for a while, they went to their respective rooms and waited for the banquet that was to be held the following day.
At the gate of the manor.
Abig group that consisted of more than 20 people flew at great speed toward the manor, and the leader was a youth in a black shirt.
“Ye Jin from Qinghua Branch!”
Ye Jin said flatly to the guards, looking indifferent, and the disciples who were behind him did not say a word.
“This way, please!” The guards had heard about Ye Jin and one of them immediately brought him and his team into the manor.
Deicide Manor was bustling with people this day amidst the tranquil mountain peak.
‘The Supreme Beings from the neighboring branches had either come alone or in groups to gather in the manor.
‘The owner of Deicide Manor was Leng Canfeng. He did not handpick anyone for the banquet and he merely invited the Supreme Beings from more than 10 neighboring branches who would be participating in the Headquarters Selection.
As Quan Ruhai had had a breakthrough in his cultivation level, he was present as well. He was there with his Senior Brother Chang Yi.
Ge Li from Qinghua Branch had become a Supreme Being and he had arrived alone.
Everyone was given accommodation in the manor while waiting for the banquet to be held the following day.
All of them waited patiently for dawn.
A guard came to inform Su Mo and the two ladies that they could head over to a Square at the courtyard.
Su Mo, Ling Chang, and Lin Ya immediately went over.
The Square covered a large area, with many tables set in it. There were enough to accommodate 1,000 people.
Around 300 people were already seated at some of the tables.
“My friends, please feel free to take any of the seats.”
A jovial voice was heard saying. A youth in a white shirt was standing in front of a White-Jade Long Table and he was smiling amicably.
“Is he Leng Canfeng?” Su Mo asked Lin Ya.
“Yes!” Lin Ya nodded as the three of them proceeded to take the seats at the outer range.
There were Spiritual Fruits and Spiritual Wine being served, but the three of them were not in the mood to enjoy them.
Su Mo sized up the people around and saw that all of them were young Supreme Beings. Many of them were Advanced Supreme Beings, with the minority being the Middle-rank Supreme Beings and Low-rank Supreme Beings.
Su Mo saw Quan Ruhai, Chang Yi, Ge Li, and some familiar faces. All of them were from Palmy Branch.
After one hour, the Square became packed with people.
By then, most of them had arrived and they were not expecting any more guests.
“Gentlemen, allow me to thank you for coming to Deicide Manor. Let’s toast,” Leng Canfeng said as he stood up, lifting his cup.
Having said that, he drank up.
Everyone lifted his cup and did likewise.
“Lwill not beat around the bush as I believe all of you know the purpose of my invitation!”
Leng Canfeng looked at everybody and said grimly, “The Headquarters Selection will be taking place in another three years. I have the intention to form an alliance with all of you so that we can have a strong team!”
“Brother Leng, this is a good suggestion. However, who will get to own the token when the team gets hold of it?” Someone voiced out everybody’s concern.
No one would give up the token as it was the key for them to enter the Headquarters. It was everybody’s dream to get into the Headquarters.
“That’s right!”
“Brother Leng, please tell us what you have in mind.”
“We don’t mind forming an alliance, but the rules have to be fair.”
Many of them voiced their opinions.
“Please be patient and listen to me!”
Leng Canfeng beckoned the people to quieten down and said, “Since I have invited all of you over, I already have a plan in mind. If our team gets hold of a token, the person who first gets his hands on it will get to keep the token.”
“I don’t agree!”
“I don’t agree either!”
“If we do that, we will end up fighting amongst ourselves.”
No one agreed to Leng Canfeng’s suggestion and they voiced their disagreements.
Leng Canfeng and the multitude started to discuss how they would allocate the tokens and the area was bustling with noise.
The discussion took one hour but nothing concrete came out of it.
“Senior Sisters, let’s leave this place!”
Su Mo told Lin Ya and Ling Chang after a while.
The multitude could not come to an agreement and it would be impossible for them to form an alliance. Even if they were to form an alliance, they would have their own agendas. They would not work hand in hand together.
There were tens of thousands of people vying over 30 tokens and it would be difficult to lay hands on one token. If they were to get hold of one token, it would be difficult to determine who should get to own the token and they would end up attacking one another.
Thus, Su Mo felt that it was meaningless to stay on.
“alright!” Lin Ya nodded. She stood up and cupped her fist at Leng Canfeng from afar and said, “Brother Leng, my Juniors and I have to leave now as there are things that we have to attend to. Goodbye!”
Having said that, Lin Ya turned to leave without waiting for a response from Leng Canfeng.
Su Mo and Ling Chang followed Lin Ya and walked out.
‘When Leng Canfeng saw their actions, he glanced at the three of them, looking unhappy.
After all, many people were present. By leaving, the three of them had shown that they did not have any regard for him.

Quan Ruhai glanced at Su Mo and shifted his eyes to Ling Chang. He looked impassive and he did not greet Ling Chang.
At that moment, the most important task for him was to get into the Headquarters. After he had done so, he would have no problem making Ling Chang his woman.
Ye Jin sat at the forefront, enjoying the Spiritual Wine in his cup.
‘When he saw Su Mo leaving, a light flashed through his eyes.
He had brought his fellow disciples along with him not to discuss the alliance with Leng Canfeng, but to kill Su Mo.
However, it would not wise for him to leave immediately after Su Mo.
If Su Mo was killed, everyone would know that he was the culprit and his Teacher would not want that to happen.
