Chapter 2526: Collaboration With Tu Ying

The battle continued. As the men from the Fifth City, Sixth City, and the Eighth City were not as powerful, they started to show signs of defeat.
Shortly, there were only around 30 people left from the three cities. All of them were being attacked and they were in danger.
They dared not stay on and started to run back to their respective cities.
After the long fight, around 90 people from the First City, Second City, and the Third City were left.
“Gentlemen, not many people are left in the Fifth City, Sixth City, and the Eighth City. Let’s go and attack the individual cities!”
Gongsun Changjue said when the people from the First City, Second City, and the Third City had gathered together.
“Don’t forget the Seventh City and the Ninth City are still around!” Ye Lingtian reminded him. Their strength had been greatly reduced but the Seventh City and Ninth City were still at their best. They had not taken any action.
Thus, Ye Lingtian felt that they had to be wary of the Seventh City and Ninth City lest they were beaten by them while they were focusing on attacking their opponents.
“Shall we select some powerful men to defeat the Fifth City, Sixth City, and the Eighth City? The rest of them shall stay back to guard against the Seventh City and Ninth City!” Flaming Devil Ghost Sage suggested.
“Alright. This is a good suggestion!”
“Let’s do it!”
Everybody nodded in agreement. Although they did not have much manpower, they still needed some men to stay back in the city.
Moreover, many of their men had been severely injured and they had returned to their respective cities. Thus, they were not afraid of the Seventh City and Ninth City if they were to attack them.
Having said that, they selected more than 50 men to attack the Fifth City under the leadership of Ye Lingtian and Flaming Devil Ghost Sage.
More than 30 men stayed back to guard the city to prevent the men from the other cities from attacking them.
Other than these men, they picked 30 more men from the First City, Second City, and the Third City and that totaled more than 60 people.
The protective array of the Fifth City gave way in no time under the attacks led by Ye Lingtian and Flaming Devil Ghost Sage.
Not many people were in the Fifth City. There were only more than 20 of them left. They were no match for Ye Lingtian’s team and after resisting them for a while, they were utterly defeated. The array in the city was destroyed and everybody was eliminated from the Fight.
No one from the rest of the cities rendered their help to the Fifth City. The men from the Sixth City and Eighth City did nothing to help the Fifth City although they knew that their turn would come. They no longer had the ability to take on their opponents.
As for the Seventh City and Ninth City, they remained passive.
After Ye Lingtian’s team had defeated the Fifth City, they started to attack the protective array of the Sixth City.
Tu Ying and his men stayed put in the Seventh City and watched the Sixth City. They were waiting for the right opportunity to strike.
“Tu Ying, when shall we take action?” A genius with a big build asked Tu Ying softly.
“Let’s continue to wait. They are still more powerful than us!” Tu Ying replied. Although the First City, Second City, and the Third City had suffered great losses, they were still more powerful than them when the three cities joined forces together.
Most importantly, most of the men in the Seventh City were ordinary Favored Ones and there were no powerful people around.
If the Seventh City did not take any action, the Sixth City and Eighth City would be defeated. However, if that happened, the First City, Second City, and the Third City would have suffered losses as well. They would not have an edge over the Seventh City by then.
“Will we be attacking the three cities later?” Someone asked.
“No. We will join forces with them!” Tu Ying shook his head and said gravely, “We will collaborate with them to defeat the Ninth City!”
“Will they agree to that?”
“By then, our strength will be almost on par with theirs. They will know what is good for them!” Tu Ying replied. Everybody knew that the Ninth City was a pain in the neck.
The fight went on. After the Fifth City had been defeated, the Sixth City was soon defeated, followed by the Eighth City.
Ye Lingtian had lost some of his men but they won the fight. They defeated the Fifth City, Sixth City, and the Eighth City.
Among the nine cities in Shen Kun Small World, the cities that remained were the First City, Second City, Third City, Seventh City, and the Ninth City.
After Ye Lingtian had defeated the three cities, he gathered with Gongsun Changjue and the rest. There were more than 90 of them in total.
“What shall we do next?” Ye Lingtian asked.
“We do not have many men with us. We have to tread carefully as we still have to deal with the Seventh City and Ninth City!” Flaming Devil Ghost Sage commented.
Boom!
Suddenly, there was an explosion from afar and someone flew out of the void.
“Su Mo!” When everybody saw the person, they were stunned. Su Mo is out! He has escaped from Prince Gu Mo!
Su Mo was so powerful that even Prince Gu Mo could not deal with him!
Everyone had different thoughts in their mind. Gongsun Changjue and some of the forces had been hoping that Su Mo would not return or that he had been suppressed by Prince Gu Mo.
After all, he was mighty and he would vie with them at the last round.
As for the men from the Dragon Tribe and Human Palace, they heaved a sigh of relief when they saw Su Mo.
After Su Mo had flown out of the void, he looked around. He saw that the protective arrays around the Fifth City, Sixth City, and the Eighth City were no longer around and he knew that they had triumphed over them.
However, he did not see Long Teng around. Long Teng was in Fifth City and since the city had been destroyed, he must have been sent out. Thus, only Su Mo had returned.
“What is the situation?” Su Mo asked after he joined the group.
“At the moment, only the Seventh City and Ninth City are left. They have not taken any action,” Gongsun Changjue replied.
They were not surprised that Long Teng and Prince Gu Mo were missing as they believed that the two of them had been eliminated.
“How many people are we left with?” Su Mo asked as he looked at the Seventh City and Ninth City. It was critical to know the number of people that they were left with as the Seventh City and Ninth should have a total of more than 200 people.
“Less than 150!” Ye Lingtian replied. That number included those people who were left to guard the three cities.
They were at a disadvantage as they had fewer people but, fortunately, they had many top powers with them. Their edge over their opponents was their great combat strength.
“That’s not enough!” Su Mo knitted his brows when he heard the number. They had lost more than half of their forces.
Buzz!
Suddenly, a tall figure walked out of the Seventh City that had remained passive.
“Su Mo, how have you been!” Tu Ying said with a smile as he looked at Su Mo from afar. He was happy to see that Su Mo was back.
Tu Ying and Su Mo had been fighting each other from God’s Path to the Deity Plane and they would become opponents soon. However, they had to deal with the Ninth City before that.
Su Mo was indeed amazing. He managed to escape from Prince Gu Mo’s hands and he had not tarnished his reputation as a reincarnated body.
“Tu Ying, do you intend to collaborate with us?” Su Mo asked as he sized Tu Ying up.
“That’s right. We can only defeat Ninth City if we collaborate!” Tu Ying nodded.
“Sure! I am up for that!” Su Mo immediately agreed.
The Ninth City was a powerful opponent. They had to collaborate in order to defeat them.
The rest of the people nodded in agreement.
