Chapter 1008 - Ambush

The Celestialspirit Sect used to be one of the superpowers of the East Continent.

The nine peaks of the Celestialspirit Sect still stood high between heaven and earth.

A few of the peaks had collapsed in the last war. However, an expert had brought a few more peaks after the incident, restoring the nine peaks to its original state.

“Swoosh! Swoosh!”

Two rays of light appeared at the end of the sky, rushing towards the Celestialspirit Sect. The two rays of light were Cai Yun and Su Mo.

“Hold on!”

Cai Yun, who was mid-flight, suddenly shouted, stopping Su Mo from moving forward.

Su Mo immediately stopped when he heard her. He turned around and asked Cai Yun confusedly, “What’s the matter?”

“Something’s wrong, “Cai Yun looked at the Celestialspirit Sect in the distance, her eyes grave.

Su Mo noticed this, and his eyes swept across the Sect in the distance. He discovered that something was indeed not right.

There wasn’t a single person in the large Celestialspirit Sect. It was hauntingly silent, which was out of the ordinary.

“Let’s be careful. It’d be best if we can enter without anyone noticing just in case we get ambushed!”

Cai Yun said softly. Her goal was to rescue the Horned-demon tribe. As such, she had to try her best to stay safe in case she ended in an impasse.

Su Mo lost his smile when he heard that. Was there any need for him to sneak in with his current strength?

He could destroy the entire Celestialspirit Sect with the wave of his hand. Why go through all that trouble?

“You’re thinking too much!”

Su Mo shook his head and smiled, “All tricks are useless before absolute power.”

With that, Su Mo moved and continued flying towards the main gate of the Celestialspirit Sect.

“You…!” Cai Yan was angered and anxious when he saw that. Su Mo was too arrogant!

However, Su Mo paid no mind to her admonishment and flew straight towards the main gate of the Celestialspirit Sect.

Cai Yun was both angered and anxious. However, Su Mo had already flown through the Celestialspirit Sect’s gate boldly. She could not stop him even if she wanted to.

Cai Yun sighed and gritted her teeth, following Su Mo into the sect.

Since she had come with Su Mo, she could not allow him to face the dangers alone. She could only hope that she could rely on him now.

Su Mo and Cai Yun flew above the Celestialspirit Sect and stopped in the sky above to observe it.

However, something happened just as the two stopped.

Suddenly, a dazzling white light rose, and a huge air shield formation appeared above the Celestialspirit Sect.

The enormous air shield formation was like a giant air bubble that enveloped the two and the Celestialspirit Sect within it.

“What are we going to do?” Cai Yun looked at Su Mo anxiously.

Cai Yun was also stunned. Everyone from the Cold-blood Hall and Celestialspirit Sect was stupefied.

Everyone stared at the scene with wide eyes incredulously.
