“Good, good, good. Yes, yes, that’s how you ride it.” Xue Da couldn’t stop smiling.
Yu Hongyan also saw it. She laughed as she walked over and patted Jiang Yue’s head, “There’s nothing fun to do at home. This is the only thing that you can play with. Xue Da, was the meat from yesterday delicious?”
“It was perfect,” Xue Da nodded his head repeatedly, “When I bit into it, my mouth was full of oil. It was wonderful. I still have quite a lot left. Let your uncle and the others try them too. Xue Da and Yu Hongyan were still chatting while Jiang Yue sat quietly on her wooden horse.
Suddenly, she seemed to have heard Zhang Meili’s voice. She wanted to go to the courtyard door to take a look, but Xue Da looked at her kindly, so she didn’t leave the wooden horse behind. She rode the wooden horse expressionlessly and clattered to the courtyard door.
When she arrived at the entrance of the courtyard, she saw that it was indeed Zhang Meili… And Xue Zhuzi.
The mother and son strode over, and as they walked over, they conversed. “We must get our share of the money today. We can’t just let it go like this.”
They were about to reach the gates when Jiang Yue’s eyes turned cold. She looked back and saw that Xue Da and Yu Hongyan didn’t have any reaction. They probably didn’t hear Zhang Meili and Xue Zhuzi’s voices at all, so they naturally didn’t know of their arrival.
When she looked at Zhang Meili and Xue Zhuzi again, she saw Xue Dagui running over in a hurry with a particularly scared look on his face. Then, just as Zhang Meili and Xue Zhuzi were about to appear in front of her — which was the entrance to the courtyard — he grabbed Zhang Meili and Xue Zhuzi’s collars and pulled them back.
As he pulled them, Xue Dagui even scolded in a low voice, “Do you have any brains? Why didn’t you go to my father’s place to take a look before doing this? My father is here today!” Even if you’re looking for death, you shouldn’t do it this way!”
Zhang Meili and Xue Zhuzi were suddenly pulled back, and their anger immediately shot up five feet. They were about to curse because they did not know who was pulling them back.
They weren’t actually afraid of Xue Da, but Xue Dagui listened to him too much. If Xue Da happened to bump into them, what would they do if Xue Da ordered Xue Dagui to do something to them in a fit of anger?
They didn’t say anything, and the two didn’t need Xue Dagui to drag them along. They immediately left with their tails between their legs with Xue Dagui.
They had clearly seen Jiang Yue and knew that she had seen them, but they did not take the three-and-a-half-year-old Jiang Yue seriously at all. They deemed that she was not worthy.
