"I could ask you the same thing."
Mubai's lips curved into a smile. "Certain people need a sound slap to the face before they can see reality more clearly. Other than that, not stopping this will give them the chance to see the real you and cure their prejudice."
"I'm not doing this to change their impression of me." I'm doing this just for my son.
Mubai understood the words that were left unsaid. His dark eyes glowed slightly before continuing, "Indeed, you shouldn't jump through hoops to purposely endear yourself to others.
