Chapter 287 - Another Bite? Are You A Dog?

Fang Zhihan looked at her with a dark gaze, “What? Do you want to know about your husband’s past?”

Yu Gangan’s face turned red again. With a pout, she tried to act clueless, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

She then attempted to leave.

But, Fang Zhihan tugged on her shirt and pulled her back into his arms again, “You’re pretending.”

“Aiya, you hit my ear,” Yu Gangan looked at the man in shock. With a horrified expression, she patted her ear and said, “What should I do? My ear suddenly went deaf.”

Fang Zhihan: “…”

He bit her on the ear, let her go, and started walking away.

Another bite? Yu Gangan blushed and glared at the man’s back, “…Are you a dog?!”

After Grandpa Jiang drank some wild vegetable water, Yu Gangan instructed Jiang Qi to continue encouraging the old man to drink more. However, he could only drink a little at a time.

After an hour, Elder Jiang began to feel hungry.

Jiang Qi carried the wild vegetable rice soup over to the old man and fed him some of it.

After a couple of sips, the old man looked a little uncomfortable like he wanted to vomit, but nothing came out.

Jiang Qi hurriedly called Yu Gangan and Yu Gangan came to check Elder Jiang’s pulse. His stomach was slowly recovering. He was only uncomfortable because he hadn’t eaten for a long time, so there was a bit of initial discomfort.

Yu Gangan sat by the old man’s bed and gently massaged Elder Jiang’s stomach.

Elder Jiang’s furrowed eyebrows slowly softened. He closed his eyes, relaxed his body, and slowly fell asleep.

Yu Gangan stood up and gently closed the door as she left the room. She then said to Fang Zhihan and Jiang Qi, “Let the old man sleep for a bit but make sure someone is watching over him. When he wakes up, he will be hungry. Feed him some rice soup when he wakes up.”

Jiang Qi nodded and looked at Yu Gangan gratefully.

Fang Zhihan looked at Jiang Qi and said, “Go and rest, I’ll stay here.”

Jiang Qi’s eyes were bloodshot and her face was a little tired. Obviously, she had not gotten much rest over the past few days because of the old man’s illness.

She hesitated and smiled at Fang Zhihan, “No…no need, I’m not tired. Go get some rest, Big Brother.”

Yu Gangan felt the siblings were overly polite and foreign with each other.

Although there was a bedroom in the Jiang Family Home that belonged to Fang Zhihan, it was obvious that he barely returned.

But, she could tell that he looked indifferent on the surface, but actually cared about his sister.

Yu Gangan looked at Jiang Qi and smiled, “Go ahead and sleep, Fang Zhihan and I can keep watch here.”

Jiang Qi’s eyes glowed brightly.

She looked at Yu Gangan, then at Fang Zhihan, and finally nodded her head, “Then, thank you, Brother and Sister-in-law.”

As soon as she finished speaking, she ran off.

Yu Gangan froze. She wanted to explain herself, “No…”

But, Jiang Qi had already disappeared from sight.

She turned to look at Fang Zhihan. He had already seated himself on a chair nearby with a slight smile and amusement in his eyes.

Yu Gangan gave him a glance and muttered, “This was all your doing.”

She then found the farthest spot from Fang Zhihan to sit down on.

Fang Zhihan raised an eyebrow, looked at Yu Gangan with a dim look, then got up and sat down directly next to her.

Seeing this, Yu Gangan tried to escape, but Fang Zhihan quickly wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

She stared at him shyly like a little girl who was being teased by a demon and warned, “Behave yourself!”

Fang Zhihan hooked his lips, “What if I don’t?”
