“My parents are not vicious beasts or natural disasters. My brother is too afraid to show up in front of you now. He said he didn’t want to scare you,” said Hu Ruixue half-jokingly.
Shu Yan smiled and didn’t respond to her. “Is Duoduo getting better?”
Hu Ruixue asked happily after she heard Shu Yan, “You noticed? We’ve went over a month overseas last time and the expert was able to help her some. She can now understand some simple commands and put her own clothes on.”
Shu Yan pretended that she did not see the tears in Hu Ruixue’s eyes. She stroked Duoduo gently on her head. Duoduo did not let her touch at her the beginning. She could not tolerate a certain level of physical contact.
“It will continue to get better.”
“I am happy enough to be able to hear her call me ‘Mom’ in this lifetime.” Hu Ruixue put her arms around Duoduo and said gently.
The two of them didn’t spend too much time talking about Duoduo. “You’ve been with Feng Zeyu for a while now. How are things going with you two?”

“What? You have kids already. Why are you still so shy?” Hu Ruixue rolled her eyes. “When did it happen? Do tell!”
Shu Yan gave her a stare and gave her the downlow.
“I thought the two of you would be together a couple days after you started dating. Didn’t think it would take so long. Feng Zeyu is surely a patient one. But that goes to show that he respects you. I guess you have already decided that he is going to be the one.” Hu Ruixue took a sip from her wine glass.
Shu Yan had although had a long-term relationship in mind and had since confirmed that idea after the two had spent more time together. Feng Zeyu was a rare nice man. Shu Yan felt that she might not even be able to run into someone that nice in her original world.
Hu Ruixue could tell what was going through Shu Yan’s mind from her look. She smiled and said, “I am glad you have your mind made up. When are you going to hold the banquet? I will give you a huge red envelope.”
That truly had not yet occurred to Shu Yan. She would just let things take its natural course.
In addition to Hu Ruixue’s place, Shu Yan also went over to Lao Zhang’s place. She was one of the shareholders but she had barely visited the place last year. Nevertheless, Lao Zhang husband and wife still gave Shu Yan her share end of the year last year. Business was swell last year and they made also 3 million yuan. Shu Yan’s share was 600,000 yuan.
Truth be told, Shu Yan didn’t feel right taking that money. This was not the same as Zhang Huaxiu’s place. Zhang Huaxiu’s shop was given to her by Shu Yan. She received half ownership without having a pay a penny. Shu Yan felt perfectly fine taking her share. Lao Zhang’s situation was different. Shu Yan’s initial idea was to partner up and make a one-time profit on fall undergarments. They forced a portion of their shares onto Shu Yan when they had enough capital themselves. That was their principle. Nevertheless, Shu Yan really didn’t have the time and energy to manage the factory and Lao Zhang and his wife took care of everything. Shu Yan planned to sell her shares to Lao Zhang and pull out of it altogether.
