Snake tightened his hands and looked at Gu Mengmeng. He did not speak for very long and kissed her deeply.
This was a kiss that he had kept for a thousand years. It had the feelings from two lifetimes of unaccomplished wishes and separation. Finally… he could really hold a complete and real form of her and not let go again.
No one else other than Snake and Gu Mengmeng could understand how emotional the kiss was.
The others just watched them hug and kiss, with grins on their faces and a look of bliss in their eyes.

He placed his right hand on Gu Mengmeng’s shoulders and opened his palm in front of her, revealing a ring with the design of a male snake. He said, “People say that husbands and wives share a heart, but to a snake, heart is not as important as the gallbladder. So, I handed my gallbladder to you… If you are around, I will live; If you are gone, I will die.”
Gu Mengmeng tip toed and kissed his lips. It was not meant to be romantic and even had a hint of punishment.
