In the dilapidated buildings that were no better than ruins, traces of human beings could be seen after careful observation!

It was obvious that the human settlement on this island had been destroyed by the Snake Monkeys.
But they didn’t expect their karma would get to them so quickly. Their settlement was destroyed by another human force that they couldn’t resist.

Qin Yueyu, whose short hair had grown into a black ponytail, was slightly confused.
“It’s radiation. The substances in this entire area carry a lot of radiations!”
On the goggles that Guo Wei was wearing, the red “radiation alarm” was popping up nonstop.
“Seriously? Did the Snake Monkeys already have nuclear bombs?”
Mister Bug was quite shocked.
“How is it possible? If they had invented nuclear bombs, we couldn’t have taken them down so easily.”
Qin Yueyu rolled her eyes at him.
“Then what’s the reason?”

“It’s because of the setting of this settlement!”
An Quan suddenly opened his mouth in excitement.
“If my guess is correct, this settlement must be set in Land of Radiation, a post-apocalyptic role-playing survival game…”
Then, he quickly climbed to the top of the residue of the highest building and looked around.
“It’s indeed up ahead! Come with me!”
After he saw something, An Quan suddenly jumped off the building and rushed on the desolate land while he shouted!
Very soon, the few core players of the Twin Dragon Island came to the core of the destroyed settlement, which was a hot spring where hot steam was still popping up.

“There’s much more radiation in the water than on the ground!”
Ji Ye pulled his finger back from the hot spring. The white light of “Healing” flashed and restored the slight mutation of his finger caused by the radiation.
“This Radiation Hot Spring was the initial place in the game. It’s set to be a place where players receive Extraordinary powers through the hot spring!”
An Quan looked at the steaming hot spring and spoke with great excitement.
“Extraordinary powers? What powers are we talking about?”
Mister Bug’s eyes glittered after hearing that.
“Well, in the beginning, only some fundamental powers are available, such as Iron Skin, Wings, Morphing, Stealth, Limb Regeneration… But after you level up, or if you do in-game purchase, you may receive rare ‘Kinetic Bomb’, ‘Vision Blockage’, ‘Atomic Dismemberment’, ‘Bullet Speed’, ‘Gravity Manipulation’, and other unusual powers.”
What An Quan said made everybody change their expression.
The regular powers weren’t surprising, but the powers behind were clearly in the level of Transcendent. They were some sort of “super-abilities”!
“You can get super abilities by taking a spa? That’s an unreasonable setting… In a post-apocalyptic world after a nuclear explosion, clean water should be as precious as any money…”
Guo Wei shook his head and expressed his concern about the setting of the Radiant Hot Spring.
“Well, I was a new graduate back then and wasn’t too mature yet. The setting was indeed not perfect!” An Quan said with sweat on his face.
“The things in many game-related settlements are indeed unreasonable. For example, a robot can be sucked blood from, a blind champion can be blinded, and the fiery champion can be ignited… Huh, wait a moment, did you design this game?”
Mister Bug nodded in agreement.
Then he realized something and looked at An Quan in a stun.
“It’s a famous product that my company released to the overseas market. Technically speaking, I only took part in a small part. I happened to be the one who proposed the hot spring bath.

It was indeed a shame. After all, even though there were a million settlements on the Land of Inheritance at the beginning, human beings had created numerous works in the long passage of time. A regular game could probably be represented by only one settlement on the Land of Inheritance.
If they missed it, they might never be able to see relevant characters or objects.
“The first settlement we meet during the “Strive for the Best” quest is related to a core player from our settlement? Is it a coincidence, or is it an unspoken rule in the current phase?”
Ji Ye, on the other hand, thought carefully at this moment.

After all, rich guys could rely on their money, while poor guys could only count on mutations. Since there weren’t enough resources, the unusual powers were more attractive than martial arts and magic were. If they were lucky and awakened such powers, they would soar to fame.
But it wasn’t so attractive to Ji Ye.
Essentially speaking, those unusual powers were no different from other Extraordinary powers.
For example, he could control the water currents with the Flood Dragon Bloodline like the water powers. He could even strengthen his body and give himself the intimidation of dragon-blood creatures!
But after all, it was much easier to obtain powers by bathing in the hot spring than through bloodline.
The only problem was that the mutation caused by the radiation was as uncontrollable as the Black Serpent Blood, and the powers that it gave were uncertain!
More importantly, the mutation caused by the radiation could be very dangerous and might continually destroy one’s body.
Probably for the same reason, this human settlement didn’t win the competition even though they had such an Extraordinary resource but was destroyed by the Snake Monkeys who were also inclined to technology.
“However, it couldn’t have been long since this human settlement was destroyed, so highly-concentrated radiation power still lingers in the hot spring. It hasn’t been transformed into the power of providence by the Snake Monkeys yet.
“We can absorb the settlement cores of the Snake Monkeys and the lizards and then boost the Land of Radiation with the power of providence so that the radiation in this area will get stronger and more people with unusual powers can be raised!”
Furthermore, the power of providence had another usage.
The settlement of a species or civilization could transform the unowned areas with its own power of providence into an environment that was suitable for its members’ survival!
That was also very important.
Otherwise, the creatures like the Mirage Monsters couldn’t earn much even though it won the war and occupied the entire Twin Dragon Island. However, it wouldn’t be a problem if they could transform the whole Twin Dragon Island into a sea with the power of providence of their settlement.
However, because the Snake Monkeys and the lizards were gravely short of the power of providence, they were never able to transform the environment. At this moment, the Twin Dragon Island had enough resources to do that.
