The elevator doors slowly parted open to reveal Ji Ziming’s flawlessly handsome face.

Pei Ge was a little stunned when she saw the man.

Did this annoying fellow come down to fetch me?

The doors slowly closed immediately after she entered the lift.

She stood beside the man in this slightly cramped elevator, and with only the two of them in it, she somehow felt a little nervous.

Thus, their journey upward was filled with awkward silence.

When the doors parted open again, she realized with a start that she was now inside the man’s penthouse.

With keen interest, she followed him out of the elevator and into his penthouse’s lobby.

This was her first time seeing in real life an elevator that opened directly into someone’s house. It was like a scene out of a movie.

Trailing after him, they walked past the posh yet humble-looking hallway and reached the living room.

She noted the furnishings in the house and could not help but think, While Ji Ziming has simple and modest taste for decoration, this place still exudes a notable sense of nobility.

One could spot the black marble flooring at a glance. And unlike what the average person would do, the man did not have his walls covered with wallpaper; instead, an unrecognizable type of mirror-like, ceramic tiles formed the walls.

The lights hanging from the ceiling were also not the typical crystal chandeliers seen in most living rooms. Rather, they were drop lights with unique designs.

A pitch-black wooden table with a glass top, a modest yet classy sofa, and exquisite wood carvings in some furniture made the whole living room look prim and noble.

This was the very aura the man gave off.

When her eyes finally landed on the pristine floor, she realized that she had worn her outdoor shoes in.

She promptly halted her steps and did not continue trailing after the man.

“What’s wrong?” He turned and frowned at her when he noticed her remaining on the same spot.

“The soles of my shoes are dirty,” she directly admitted. She really did not feel like moving after seeing such a clean floor.

He raised a brow at her. “You’ve been walking on this floor for a while now; what harm can more dirt do to it?”

She blinked at him. Since the man did not seem to mind it, she decided not to be wishy-washy about it as well and just continued proceeding into the living room.

“Sit.” He gave her a satisfied look when she moved over. He liked her obedience.

She did not say anything and simply sat down on the minimalist gray sofa.

“CEO Ji, did you call me over for something?” she carefully asked once she was comfortably seated on the sofa.

The man was currently her debtor-cum-employer; how could she not be more cautious around him?

Batting an eyelid, he noted her careful behavior and felt a little uncomfortable inside.

“Yes,” he replied curtly.

“What is the matter?” She swallowed nervously.

Why is this annoying fellow looking for me? It couldn’t be to tell me to do something extremely hard, right?

“What is our relationship?” He unexpectedly asked her such a senseless question.

She was stunned by his unforeseen question but still tried to answer it quickly. “An employer and an employee relationship.”

“Mhm,” he hummed in acknowledgement before continuing, “What is the relationship you are employed for?”

“A marr-marriage relationship?” Her cheeks reddened as she gave this reply.

Noting her shy look, his lips curled up. He then continued in his usual apathetic voice. “How should you address me, then?”

“It’s ‘CEO Ji’…” she replied matter-of-factly.

Frowning, he peered at her and demanded, “‘CEO Ji’? Are you sure?”

“Er…” Is there anything to be unsure of?

She blinked in confusion of what he was getting at.

However, when she saw his eyes glint coldly, something clicked in her mind, as if she had an epiphany.

Mulling over the man’s words, she shot him a look of shock in the next instant.

“What should I call you, then?” she asked carefully.

He only coldly harrumphed. “What do you think?”

“I think it’s better for CEO Ji to say it himself,” she suggested patronizingly.

“…” He pursed his lips at her ingratiating look. After a while, he said lightly, “Call me Ziming from now on.”

“Hah?!” She somewhat already expected it, but when she heard his order of how she should address the man, she was still taken aback.

Her mind was in a jumbled mess after hearing his words, and she did not even know how to respond to him.

“Why? Are you unwilling?” He frowned at her shocked look.

She felt shy calling him in such an intimate manner.

“Say it, then,” he requested while staring straight at her.
