Chapter 1309: Willing to Buy for Her
Bai Yaoyao knew that she would be buying quite a lot later, especially with that statement of his which further excited her.
Seeing Bai Yaoyao’s joyful mood, the corners of Duan Yanhao’s mouth twitched upward. “Even if you wanted to buy the entire shopping district, I wouldn’t argue.”
Bai Yaoyao made a funny face at him secretly. “I know that you are a local noble, so obviously, you can afford it.”
Duan Yanhao’s stiff expression softened several degrees. “I don’t usually buy much, nor do I come out that frequently, but I can still afford to buy them if it’s for you.”
Hearing Duan Yanhao’s words, it was as if flowers bloomed in Bai Yaoyao’s heart as her expression softened as well.
It was warm being together with Duan Yanhao. This sort of warmth and feeling of safety could make her more and more cheerful.
Although Duan Yanhao’s words came out naturally, they had a huge impact on Bai Yaoyao.
Bai Yaoyao followed Duan Yanhao into the shopping district. Her light footsteps conveyed her jovial mood to people around her.
Duan Yanhao’s mouth twitched upwards as the hand that was holding onto Bai Yaoyao’s tightened, so much so that it seemed as if he was never letting go.
Bai Yaoyao mumbled softly, “Are you really willing to do that?”
Duan Yanhao replied without any hesitation, “For you, there’s no willing or unwilling to consider.”
Bai Yaoyao’s heart clenched tightly. Just for that statement, it was worth it for her to have met Duan Yanhao.
Joyous music played in the shopping district while Duan Yanhao patiently followed Bai Yaoyao as she shopped.
He also realized that Bai Yaoyao only window-shopped instead of buying it.
Duan Yanhao did not know whether Bai Yaoyao liked them, but he secretly purchased all the clothes she had tried on, intending to pass it to her when they went back later.
The reason why he did not want to let her know was so that he would not disrupt her shopping mood.
In such a huge shopping district, she finally found a bargain shop, so she started to carefully look at the clothes.
Duan Yanhao sat down at the side and read a newspaper as he waited for Bai Yaoyao.
Bai Yaoyao tried them on. When she found it to be not bad, she would ask Duan Yanhao what he thought of it, but he would always nod and say that it was not bad.
He had the same reaction for all the clothes, and after a while, Bai Yaoyao did not have the mood to try anymore. This man was a block of wood. How would he understand her feelings? When she was being indecisive, couldn’t he do her a favor by helping her decide?
Bai Yaoyao did not have clothes she liked a lot. At this stage of her life, she was already long past the stage of liking pretty clothes.
All she liked was the feeling of Duan Yanhao accompanying her while she shopped.
However, on the third floor of a certain shop, Bai Yaoyao actually fell in love with one of the clothes on display. The moment she entered the shop, she fell in love with the gown that was on display.
The long gown was elegant yet simple, and it caught her attention quickly.
Bai Yaoyao asked the saleslady, “Is it possible for you to let me try this gown?”
“You have great taste. This is the treasure of our shop! Please give me a moment. I will bring it for you to try right away.”
Just when Bai Yaoyao was about to try the gown the saleslady passed to her, a soft but arrogant voice came from the door. “Saleslady, I like this one. Let me try it first.”
The saleslady looked at the new customer, who just placed her in a difficult spot.
Bai Yaoyao was startled. She turned around and saw a woman wearing a long blue dress. She was beautiful, yet she gave off an impression that everyone else was beneath her, making it hard to like her.
Bai Yaoyao frowned. In order not to put the saleslady in a difficult spot, she said, “How about you let me try the other one?”
Hearing Bai Yaoyao’s words, the saleslady looked thankfully at her.
