“Huo Mian, don’t worry. Your kids are fine… They’re unharmed and safe,” Huo Yanyan said, trying to reassure Huo Mian.

“Where are they locked up?”

“On the other side of this abandoned factory.”

“Then… where are we right now?”

“I’m not sure. When I came, someone put an eye mask on me. Siyi puts his guard up with me too.”

When Huo Mian heard Huo Yanyan’s words, she nodded.

“Are you okay? You don’t look that great…”

“I’m fine… As long as the kids are okay, nothing else matters.”

They suddenly heard footsteps from behind. Huo Mian gave Huo Yanyan a look to signal her to back up a bit.

Then, she walked aside so the man could walk over to pick up Huo Mian and drag her out.

Huo Yanyan followed behind while being on high alert…

“Yanyan… You don’t have to get involved in the business here. You can go and rest in that small room over there. I’ll take over from here. Your daughter is waiting there for you,” Huo Siyi turned his head slightly and said to Huo Yanyan.

“Siyi, don’t overdo it. You need to have mercy…” Huo Yanyan warned since she was worried.

She had been through a lot the past few years and had become a much more open-minded person.

She knew that even if you had a deep hatred towards someone, you still shouldn’t kill that person.

Huo Mian helped Huo Yanyan even though she knew she would offend Wei Liao’s younger sister, Wei Ying.

A lot of the bystanders thought Huo Mian was a pretentious b*tch because she was trying to help out someone who once didn’t get along with her.

Besides, Huo Yanyan was a single mother. Huo Mian too was a mother and she knew how difficult motherhood could be sometimes.

That was why she chose to help Huo Yanyan despite all else.

She never would have thought that she would be able to find the last strand of hope from Huo Yanyan when she was in danger.

Karma was actually a thing. If Huo Mian were to have bullied Huo Yanyan or left her to wilt away, she would not have hope today.

When Huo Yanyan went in, her daughter stood up from the floor. The other woman was on the bed smoking.

The woman’s legs were crossed, her hair was down, and she had heavy makeup on. She looked decadent.

“Little brat, do you want a puff? Hahaha…” the woman said to Huo Yanyan’s daughter before laughing to herself.
