The good news was, they were all used to her rough demeanor.

“Hey, he’s proposing to you, what’s that expression on your face?” Jiang Xiaowei laughed.

The guys chimed in, “Marry him, marry him.”

“Um… this is really sudden.”

“Didn’t you say you weren’t going to get married until I got pregnant? I’m already two months pregnant… Miss Zhu Lingling, you have to keep your promise,” Huo Mian corrected her.

Upon hearing Zhu Lingling’s words, everyone burst into rabid laughter…

Three seconds later, she reached out her hand, allowing an ecstatic Gao Ran to put the ring on her finger and hand her the bouquet of red roses.

“Kiss him, kiss him…” Tang Chuan shouted, enjoying the show as an on-looker.

Upon hearing this, Zhu Lingling didn’t hesitate and kissed Gao Ran, right on the lips – she was your typical outgoing, straightforward Northern-Chinese woman.

Everyone broke into applause…

Huo Mian smiled happily as she watched the happy couple, and Su Yu finally realized that the thing Huo Mian was hiding from him earlier was a diamond ring.

When did she even buy the ring? Boy, she was meticulous.

“Decide on a date, so we can celebrate you guys! Just make sure I’m out of postpartum recovery, or else I won’t be able to drink,” Jiang Xiaowei complained.

“Right right, me too,” Huo Mian chimed in.

“You pregnant women are so needy…”

“If you still want your children to marry mine, you better behave…” Huo Mian threatened with a smile on her face.

“What about next month? The weather won’t be so cold by then,” Jiang Xiaowei laughed.

“Next week is pretty good too,” Huo Mian added.

“Why next week when you can get married today?” Tang Chuan interjected.

“Gosh, guys, it’s my wedding, not yours!” Zhu Lingling pouted as she smiled in Gao Ran’s embrace…

Huo Mian could detect the happiness on her expression; it seems like she made the right decision – Mr. Qin would agree with her plan as well if he were here.

“So are we going to be eating wedding candy soon?” Su Yu laughed.

“Wait, so isn’t Captain Gao supposed to pay the bill tonight? After all, it’s a big day for him,” Tang Chuan teased.

“Sounds good, I’m paying tonight, let’s drink!” Gao Ran said generously.

Everyone could tell that Gao Ran loved Zhu Lingling very much; after she agreed to his proposal, his face was filled with nothing but happiness.

If Huo Mian didn’t egg them on, they were probably never going to get married.

They couldn’t live together forever without a license, right?

After the proposal, the gang went back to enjoying the rest of the dinner.

Huo Mian excused herself, saying that she needed air. Then, she walked out of the private room and up to the rooftop of the hotel, staring off into the night sky with a blank expression on her face.

After ten minutes, Su Yu looked down at his watch and stood up worriedly, “You guys eat, I’m going to see what’s going on.”

After he walked out of the room, Wei Liao suddenly said, “Do you guys think Yu is happy right now, or in agony?”

The group fell silent upon hearing his question.
