Mo Xue'er walked behind the sofa and bent down as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
She tilted her head as she was about to kiss him on the cheeks, but he moved away and avoided her.

But Huo Siqian wasn't in the mood for anything...

The white Maserati sped across the streets at night, but Huo Siqian still found it hard to remain calm.
The next day, Gao Ran received two pieces of news from the Police Station that slightly puzzled him.
The first pieces of news: the criminals they caught yesterday had conflicts with some other criminals in the detention jail, and they were beaten up quite badly.
Three of them had fractured bones, while the other four were seriously injured and were rushed to the hospital afterward. This was the first time a large scale violent outbreak happened at a detention jail.
The second news: Zhou Guanghui, the only woman in the kidnapping group was beaten and tortured by the rest of her jail mates; she was beaten so badly that six of her teeth were knocked out and her entire face was covered in blood. It was a very serious matter if violent incidents happened in jail.
Those offenders knew that they would have increased penalty and jail time, but they still beat Zhou Guanghui like crazy.

Due to the urgent state of this matter, Gao Ran returned back to the City Police Bureau and attended several meetings concerning the solutions for the incidents.
While Zhu Lingling took days off her work and stayed with Huo Mian to take care of her 24/7.
She was afraid of making Huo Mian's mother worry, and so she hadn't informed her about this yet...
